All house clocks with internal temperature gauges are automatically set to the temperature within the area. These gauges only tell what temperature the room is, not change the temperature, like a thermostat.
You don't ... you throw it away.
There should be a physical switch to turn DST on or off, or sometimes turning DST on or off is part of the setup for manually setting the year, month, day, etc. If you can't find it, try switching to the next time zone to the west.
You don't, it sets itself from radio signals transmitted by NIST. Depending on reception conditions it may take a few days (sometimes in really bad cases a few weeks) to get good enough signal to set itself with.

86715 is 2 mins slow. How to correct it.
Here is a link to the manual.... "http://www.atomicclocksstore.com/skyscan-atomic-clock-model-87700-manual"
I have installed new batteries and cannot reset clock. ??
How do you set the time on a S10/Scan atomic clock model 86715
An atomic clock should set itself once it receives the calibration signal .
Not sure what you're needing to do. But to set up the clock and the outdoor temperature sensor, make sure the batteries are new for both. Put the batteries in the outdoor sensor first. Wait to see the temperature reading on the sensor. Then put the batteries in the clock. In about 15 minutes the outdoor temperature should show on the clock. Do not set the clock until the outdoor temperature is displayed. You can set the clock manually, or set the button on the back to atomic so that it will automatically receive the time.
how to shut off alarm on clock
You should not need to as it will attempt to set itself automatically from the WWVB radio signal transmitted by NIST in Colorado. Most clocks of this type won't let you set them manually, but this one will.In case the atomic clock is not able to detect the WWVB radio signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock. The hour digits will start flashing on LCD1.Set the desired hours by pressing and releasing the + key followed by pressing the SET key.Now the minute digits will start flashing.Set the desired minutes by pressing and releasing the + key. If the + key is held, the units will increase by 5.Press and release the SET key to move to the "Year Setting".
Any atomic clock will automatically set the time.
Take the battery out. Use a large paper clip to bridge the battery contact points (to ensure proper re-set). Then put in a fresh battery. The hands should autmatically move to the 12 O'Clock position. When the radio receiver in the clock registers the time broadcast from WWV it will display the correct time. Alternatively, you can press the M SET button (above the DST switch) until the hands advance manualy to the correct time.
SKYSCAN ATOMIC CLOCK model 38229-1 Clock may not reset automatically when after 'SPRING FORWARD' or 'FALL BACK' time changes. How to Reset: Unbend large paper clip and gently insert tip into 'RESET' hole on back of clock for two seconds. Then: 1. press "MODE" (it will show the alarm time) 2. press "ADJUST" (this will switch the time zone from PST to EST) 3. when it is on the desired time zone, press "MODE" to return to the clock. Now place clock near window where southern exposure allows access to satellite. Icon for satellite access should activate (looks like a dish satellite). Allow several minutes for reset.
