I had the same thing happen. I replaced the batteries in the outdoor sensor, but just got the two dashes on the clock that should display the outside temperature. After I replaced the batteries in the clock itself, the outside temperature then showed up properly on the clock. I also took all batteries out of both devices and replaced them in the order recommended in the directions on the back of the clock. I hope that helps.
To set a Vollmond Atomic Wall Clock, first install the batteries and wait for it to receive a signal from the atomic clock. Once the time is set automatically, you can manually adjust it if necessary using the buttons on the clock. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions for your model.
You don't do a thing!! My husband replaced the batteries on our the other night, and after a few minutes (I assume it got a radio signal update) it reset itself! Pretty cool... You are wrong!!!!! I asked for a manual reset, not waiting for the clock to maybe catch up.

Skyscan model 87315 does not have a manual on the Skyscan website. Use the manual for model 87310 and skip over the temperature transmitter instructions. The instructions for the setup buttons on the back work for 87315. I received the following in an email from the SkyScan website customer service. The clock referenced has a different frame, but the same functions and displays. You can use the manual for model 86730 this is the upgrade from your model and the functions are the same.

In the SkyScan atomic clock, the terms "ALM" (almanac) and "SNZ" (signal noise zeroing) relate to the clock's ability to maintain precise timekeeping. The ALM data provides information about the positions of satellites, which is essential for accurate time synchronization via GPS. Meanwhile, SNZ is a technique used to reduce noise in the clock's signal, enhancing stability and precision. Together, these functions ensure that the atomic clock delivers reliable and accurate time measurements.
To change the battery in a SkyScan Atomic clock, you typically need to remove the battery cover on the back of the clock, take out the old battery, and insert a new one following the correct polarity. Refer to the clock's manual for specific instructions as methods may vary between models.
