The Sharp Atomic Clock SPC 384 should set itself after the user chooses the time zone. If the clock is not setting itself, then the battery might be low or something is blocking the reception from a satellite to the clock. To set the clock manually, choose the menu screen and turn the appropriate dials for hours and minutes.

The main point of having an 'atomic' clock is that you don't have to set it.

Just put the batteries in, set it up on the shelf, and go away. Come back

some time within the next 8 to 12 hours, and you'll see that the clock has

set itself ... more accurately than you could ever set it ... and every one

can live happily ever after.

If you still want to set the time ... or set other features, like your time zone,

the day of the week, the month and date, etc. ... you'll find complete step-

by-step instructions on that little folded up piece of white paper with printing

all over it that fell out when you unpacked the clock, with a title at the top

that says something like "Instruction Manual" or "Operating Instructions".

If you misplaced the Instruction Manual, follow the < Related Link > below,

which will also step you through the setting procedure.

Why does the outside temperature not work on a Sharp atomic clock after you changed the battery?

I don't have a "Sharp" brand atomic clock but the one I do have, you need to replace the batteries in both the indoor unit AND the outdoor unit at the same time. Something to do with the proper transmission and receiving of the remote's signal with batteries of equal strength.
