There is no multiplayer mode on Animal Crossing.

I don't believe you can put your town into lockdown mode..
Tag Mode means if you have ACWW on Tag Mode and you meet another user who has Tag Mode on, you two immediately wi-fi connect.
No. Do any of your relatives have Animal Crossing: Wild World? Go visit them. 1. Talk to Pelly. 2. She'll tell you you'll have to have NO items in your inventory. 3. Put the two slots in your DS. 4. Put it in immigration mode. Wella! You have moving and/or visiting!
Yes you would.Trust me I am a pro at these kind of things. And I'm a preppy girl too!!

Check if your ds is on manual mode or auto mode, to see it turn on the ds without a game card in it. then set the auto mode to manual mode and you are done. -'~-

Tag mode is an option you can click at the title screen. To do tag mode, you need to buy a note in a bottle and release it in the ocean AT THE SAME TIME another person you know is. Then, you both click on Tag Mode, and the letters will arrive at each other's towns. (This is a great way to send presents to your friends without having to visit each other's towns.)
I once got an E-mail reply from someone from Nintendo who gave me a really good explanation of what contact mode was... unfortunately, I do not have the E-mail anymore... (But man, I have not used Contact Mode in ever!) Contact Mode used to be used for events at Toys R Us and also to get bottled mail from people who are on contact mode wirelessly. You have to drop a bottled mail into the ocean off of Nintendo WFC to be able to go onto Contact Mode. There actually isn't much to do there.... say hi to Rover, though. ~smiller
