This is a relatively simple procedure.
Step 1, remove the pull start from the housing.
Step 2, remove the valve cover from the top of the cylinder head.
Step 3, on flywheel where pull start was you will find a T,,,Align the mark beside of the T with the mark above the flywheel on the housing.
Step 4, Make sure the marks (NOT the bolts) on the front of the cam align evenly with the cylinder head, as for the cam sprocket there is a hole beside one of the bolts and when cam timing is right it will be one tooth to the left of exact top.
Caution: it is possible to have this engine 180 off and everything look ok so turn it a few revolutions by hand before trying to start.

cant find timing marks for an 83 suzuki lt125 atv motor
There isn't a "timing" on a 400ex or any other atv. There is a timing CHAIN, and timing chain tensioner. -my400ex89 "go big or go home"

Yes it does. There is a red handle on the left side of the motor that if pulled up engages reverse
take the timing chain cover off and with a wire hanger pull it from the bottom to the top sprocket so it doesn't fall.
how do you tighten a chain on a 150 ATV
A Suzuki ATV is a popular model. ATV's are often sold online although one must be careful when purchasing online. Also, you can check local dealerships for ATV's.

how do i check the timing on my 02 honda 350 atv
make sure th piston is set a tdc. both valves should be closed. the cam has a mark on the gear side which should be lined up flat with surface of head. both cam lobes should be up letting valves be closed. if everything is lined up correctly the ATV is in time.
