Help in setting a cam belt pulley
what the dealer cost for a corsa 14 design auto? Local dealer advertising offering cost +£100 if anyone know cost to dealer from Vauxhall would be fantastic Thanks
Depends on the tyre size. For 13" Tyres use 30 PSI. Ive seen 16" tyres use 32 PSI so around 31 PSI for 14 or 15 inch tyres.
Most newer cars 1990 up the timing is controlled by the computer. Read the tag under the hood that tells what motor is the the car it will probably say do not attempt to adjust timing. That is partially correct. The computer controls timing once the initial timing has been set. You can set the initial timing. You need a timing light. Basically you set up the timing light per its instructions and loosen the distributor hold down bolt/nut. Remove spout, start car and check timing with your light. You can move the distributor slightly to adjust the timing and tighten down when you are where you want to be. I would not go above 14 degrees and if you go there use premium fuel. HTH
14 lbf ft or 19 Nm
You need to find someone that has an advance timing light. With it they can set the total advance at 35 degrees at 2,000 RPM. That will be your best performance setting.
If you are thinking of setting the timing like what you need to do with vehicles that actually have distributors, you CAN'T. The Lincoln LS has no distributor. If you are talking about the timing chain then that involves a LONG process. The job is about a 12-14 hour job (flat rate time for mechanics)
the size is 14 cm but 13 cm fits also

MOST STOCK CAMS DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO CAM "DEGREEING" WHEN INSTALLED, SO THE INITIAL TIMING MUST BE DONE WITH A TIMING GUN. ADJUST THE TIMING BY ROTATING THE DISTRIBUTER IN EITHER DIRECTING UNTIL THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF ADVANCE OR RETARD IS ACHIEVED. SOME AFTERMARKET CAMS HAVE SEPERATE KEYWAYS SO YOU CAN ADVANCE OR RETARD THE TIMING BY A FEW DEGREES WHEN YOU INSTALL THE CAM. A GOOD START FOR YOUR ENGINE WOULD BE 8 TO 14 DEGREES OF INITIAL ADVANCE.
