coneect to TVs
Stereo or mono depending on what your tv is set for
Types of output to an analoge television set are composite or S video for video and RCA / red and white audio.
A switcher that will connect 2-3-4 other devices such as a camera, vcr etc. one at a time to a single audio/video input on the TV set.
Connect Audio out on the box to Audio In on the TV set. Make the same connection for the VIDEO. Use Input 1 on the TV then select Video 1 on the remote, Use the INPUT button.
It might... why don't you just try pluging it into the TV and see if it works. I did and can't get it to work. I connected one audio and one video, set it on channel 2, nothing. Turned the PS3 off and restarted it - nothing. Any suggestions?
Connect the AUDIO INPUT of the Sound system to the AUDIO OUTPUT of the TV set. Connect the Cable Box to the #1 VIDEO input on the TV. Connect the BLUE RAY to the #2 VIDEO input of the TV set. The TV might have a AUDIO OUTPUT function in the AUDIO MENU. switch this to FIXED. This will send a even audio signal to your sound system at all times. Turn the TV sound down and use the sound system speakers.
It is used to switch audio and video signals into a television set, monitor, etc. It also contains a radio receiver and a audio power amp to drive the speakers.
In some older rear projection televisions, the audio power amp is separate from the video chassis. It can be bypassed or replaced. But in most (if not all) flat screen televisions, the audio power amp is integrated into the set, and cannot be readily replaced. It can be repaired, but I don't think that is what you were asking.
HDMI cables carry both video and audio. You only need one.
Assuming that the connection to the television is via an HDMI connector, the audio should be carried on the same cable as video. However, some televisions have an analog audio input that is associated with the HDMI connector and is there to allow certain sources to run a separate analog audio feed alongside the picture. Use the set up menu on the television to look for an "external audio" function as part of the HDMI set up. If this is enabled, it will prevent the HDMI audio being heard. There are other causes that might be due to damaged cables or a fault in the player or television.
AV 1 are acronyms which stands for Audio Video One. It refers to the first slot of the input holes that are found in the back of a given television set.
1080 is a video standard and has nothing to do with the audio. Connect the stereo audio outputs of the tv to the inputs of the home theater. Check the HT menu to be sure it is set for multi channel audio on the input you are using.
