If you are looking to have multiple blogs there are two ways to do it.
One is to have multiple installs of WordPress on you web server. You will need to install them into different directories and create separate tables in the database.
The other way is to use categories to separate the posts. This is not really separate blogs, but just pages that have similar posts.
Posts and pages are both stored in WordPress's database, in the wp_posts table.
In wordpress you have the choice of either posting your content on a single page where your posts show one after the other this is more for the blogging side of wordpress and you would create pages for an about me page, a contact us page etc this system is more used in blogging where you would be adding content on a regular basis. You can also use wordpress as a static website this is when you would create multiple pages IE. promoting products etc. Both posts and pages can be created from within the admin panel on the left hand side.
