Most HP printers are supported by Mac OS X. Plug the printers USB cable into the MacBook and switch it on. Open the Mac's System Preferences and select the Print & Fax section. Available printers are listed in the left hand pane. Click the + sign at the bottom to add your printer. It should be listed in the Add Printer window. Select the printer and click the Add button. The printer should now be available whenever required.
