Hydrating with lots of water, getting good excercise, and eating healthy--especially iron-rich foods like leafy greens (spinach) and red meat--should help you manage the severity of your period, even if they might not make it shorter. You might want to avoid caffeine, excess salt, and alcohol, too, to help stay hydrated. [[User:Cotko|Cotko]]OR[[User:Cotko|Cotko]] You can't, you will need to get hormones from the doctor.

You can take tranexamic acid to reduce your flow by up to 50%, talk to your doctor about this and they will give you a prescription. You can also change your diet and drink more coffee during menstruation to reduce flow, switching tampons for menstrual cramps will help too.

Worse than what? Your period shouldn't be bad to begin with, if it is then talk to your doctor about the menstrual problems that you suffer from and do something about them.
