it will find it its self and if it doesnt like where you put it..put it somewhere else preferably somewhere with shelter (i know its in a cage but maybe have an upper level and put its bed under that)

when a hamster is a baby they mostly are active but as the week passes she/he will go to bed for a while that's when they grow hamsters usually grow in there sleep
