Set up a target 25 yards away - be sure there is a safe backstop. Mound of dirt, etc. Fire 3 rounds at the bullseye of the target. Slow, steady trigger squeeze. Examine the target to see where the shots are grouping. If the shots are in the bull - you're good to go. If the group is outside the bull, move the REAR sight the way you want to move the group. For example: If the group is low right, move the rear sight higher and to the left. Keep doing this until your shots are in the bull. Now move back to 100 yards and do it all over again. That's it - your sighted in. Most shot with a 30-30 should be not over 150 yards. If the game is out past 100 yards, hold a couple of inches high as you squeeze the shot off. Good Luck!
