The easiest way is to start recording yourself and friends, and then start recording more and more people as you gain the experience and the equipment. If you have a lot of money you can buy everything and start a professional studio. It's not cheap. Finding a building and treating the acoustics will cost a lot of money. Then you will have all of the gear to buy. No one wants to record with crap gear, so you can't be cheap. You will need engineers to do the recording, or know how to do it yourself. It's a lot more than pushing record and sitting back. You will need insurance for everything, as well as business licenses and permits. And on top of all that you will have very high electricity bills. Once you have it all built, you will need to find people that want to record. Assuming you are in a location where there are plenty of people to record and little competition you may be able to start making a profit in 5 or so years.
