depends on the type of engine, general rules are remove the spark plugs, squirt in a few ozs oil, turn the engine over for 1 minute, replace plugs, then start it..
If you have not replaced the fuel filter in the last 2 years then I would start there. Also, if you have a check engine light ON then I would have it scanned and diagnosed.

there are 2 main reasons 1 the engine is not getting enought petrol 2 spark engine is not getting spark this is probley the cause the main thing that goes wrog with the spark is the ht coil replace this and the spark plug and your engine should start
yes they had a diesel engine but only for 2 years 1984-1986 and the engine was made by Oldsmobile
