It depend on the hair type of that certain dog some are more curly then others. There is no point in wanting to stop it from getting curly it is perfectly natural.

That what my Bichon has. It is the cutest hairstyle (in my opinion). I think it's much better than the other style with lots of fur. It's cuter, easier for the dog to see, doesn't get tangled or matted as much, etc. But however you cut your Bichon's hair is up to you. I just suggest the "puppy cut".Bichon's are great dogs.
