Everyone needs to get involved in solving the drunk driver problem. If drunk drivers only caused property damage, it wouldn't be so bad, but they are killing people. Be grateful that you're Pickup is built well, it has probably helped protect you from injury. Stop the drunks by calling the police when you see someone who looks like an impaired driver. Tell the dispatch officer what the license number is and where they are and what direction they're going. If you can stay behind the vehicle without breaking the law, you can stick around and give the officer a statement after he pulls over the vehicle. Sometimes the difference between having a DUI ticket "stick" and having the judge dismiss it can be as simple as "probable cause", or in other words, why did the officer feel that he had the right to pull over the drunk driver. If you want to stop impaired drivers, get involved. Otherwise, nothing changes.
