Just basically not being active as you usually are, if you use to do lots of thing, such as when winter hits, people tend to get less exercise. This can really drop your metabolism depending on how much less exercise you do. Also when you exercise and when you eat effects your metabolism. Some of this might not always drop it very low but drop it and keep it low. I am not sure of this but it is likely your metabolism well drop dramatically if you do what I just mentioned, like eating and exercising(if you do any at all) at all different times each day, and not being consistent. It has been said before that eating less will trigger the body into thinking its being starved and thus lower its metabolism naturally. I have been trying to gain weight for years now and can't seem to even gain 10 lbs. I eat alot and also take supplements but i couldn't help noticing that when i didn't eat for a while, my weight only dropped a couple pounds. Its like it wants to stay within a certain range. It is something i am still trying to understand.
