The primary mission in the first Golden Sun game would be to stop the villains from lighting the Elemental Lighthouses. In the Second game it is the opposite, you have to light the remaining Elemental lighthouses. In the third game your actual mission is to get a giant roc feather, your quest only gets a bit twisted when another lighthouse is activated.
