i tried shaking tabasco over some stuff that i didnt want my puppy to eat and that put him off pretty fast! but also i finnd that consistant disciplinging helps in time. people also find it helpful to use squirt guns as they are distracting and sometimes unpleasant for the dog, but i tried it once and my puppy loved it! so that never worked for me. i usually have to just follow him around and replace what ever he's chewing on with one of his toys and then praise him for chewing his toy! hope i could help
