The first thing to try would be to make sure that it's really silver. The next would be to coat the surfaces that contacts the skin with clear nail varnish. There are even small collars to buy for this purpose. The third would be that some people are simply very sensitive to prolonged metal contact and should really avoid things like piercings and penetrating jewelery as not to develop contact allergy exzema.
IDK what a swallow is but if your talking about the earring getting embedded then you can loosen up the back of the earring that happened to me so that's what I did and it works
