Teething is a natural process. You really shouldn't try to stop it. Furthermore, considering this is something the dog is compelled to do, negative reinforcement jsut won't work at all. Try rewarding the dog for teething on something you want him to use. I know this is a difficult solution, but hey -- what else can you do?

∙ 13y agoyou cant. puppies must have something fairly hard to chew on(e.g/ rawhide bones) to strengthen their jaws and suprisingly, to try to break off the puppy teeth. when a puppy tooth falls out, adult teeth grow in. you will often find puppy teeth stuck in chew toys, or rawhide chew bones.
if your puppy is constantly teething on your arm,legs,fingers,shoes or maybe even its own paw, buy it a chew toy.
