Best Answer

Cereal should be stored in a dry and room temperature climate. No moisture should be near the box or mold could start to form. Most people keep cereal in places such as a cabinet, a pantry or a shelf.

The best way to store grains is in a cool, dry, dark place. I have a walk in pantry so I use opaque plastic containers to store grains and beans. I is china pencils to label then as they resist smudging, but can be washed off with a good de-greaser.

If you have a large quantity to store you would use a silo. If you have a small quantity, a jar would work. In general, you want to store your grain in a container that will keep out insects and rodents.
