Beer should be stored upright in a cool, dark place, or the fridge. It shouldn't be on its side because that can cause oxidation and contamination from the cap, and in the case of unfiltered beers the sediment will be disturbed.

If you have the individual packages, store them in a kitchen drawr or cabinet. If you have yeast in bulk, and only need a portion of it, store in an airtight plastic container in the back of your fridge wher the least amount of light hits it. There it should stay fresh scince yeast is activated by warmer temperatures.

When the yeast bread has completely cooled, wrap in an airtight plastic bag, plastic wrap or aluminum foil. This may cause crusty breads to soften a bit. Store at room temperature up to 2 days. Do not store bread in the refrigerator.
