Try changing to various other resolutions at start-up and then returning to your preferred resolution. If this solves the problem, as it does with LG Flatron 24, you have the added benefit of the infamous, "No you aren't smart enough to use my computer" security effect. Just go throough this resizing every time you start and you will be sync'd. One advantage is that this preserves job security and system security. ;-)
