1st i right clicked the song in purchased
2nd click "show in windows explorer
3rd click play in winamp
4th it will automaticly play in winamp and the u can click a window that has a box with an arrow coming out of it
5th when you click the file an option send to.....whatever you named you device and it will sync to your mp3 iPod or whatever u use

if you mean like you bought songs on your iPod and they were never on your PC than plug your iPod in, hit sync, and it should ask if you would like to transfer the items on you iPod to your computer so hit transfer
You have to sync it because when you sync it go from your computer to your iPod but if you have an iPod touch you can download songs from your iPod's iTunes store.
