It's best left to a gunsmith. Look one up and see if he will let you look on as it is done. Many steps are required.
Your best bet is to go to Browning's web site and request a manual. You don't mention if it is a over/under, side by side, pump or semi-auto.

My research indicates that the first semi-auto .22cal made by Browning is the Nomad,and challenger models which were made from 1962-1974.Is it possable that you have a early made model 1905-FN vest pocket model in 6.35mm,which is a .25acp caliber semi-automatic?If this is not the case,you may have a .22cal semi automatic that has used one of John M Browning patents which would have to be marked on your firearm.Please re-post your question with the info.
