eBay itself does not rip you off - it's the users who are selling you the item. Sometimes there are unfaithful and untruthful sellers on eBay, and they might rip you off. However, 99% of the time eBay sellers are not a rip off.
The first item auctioned off on eBay was a broken laser pointer which sold for $14.83. Source: Wikipedia
A buyer on eBay has to be aware of items that are counterfeit. Many sellers sell counterfeit items so that they make a larger profit than actually selling a legitimate item. One must also be very careful while reading the product description for an item because some product pictures that the seller posts can have differences between the item that they are actually selling.
I would suggest going on Ebay, and selling off the timeshare. It is much better than going on and on finding people too take it. Selling it on ebay would be a better way, and you might make some money. A link below is to eBay's homepage: www.bluestarjets.com/

Ebay itself? Yes, it is very good! It makes selling online very easy and is a great place to get cheap items. However, it ultimately depends on the seller or buyer your dealing with. Check their feedback and see if they are rated good by other members or not. Also be sure to read their item description thoroughly and don't be afraid to email the person questions to be sure it is the authentic item you want and not a generic rip-off version. Overall, my ebay experience over the past two years has been great and I have had no problems. Ebay and paypal both offer protection services in case you do feel that you have been ripped off.
Unless your children's clothing is in mint condition and is a name brand, it's not worth it. You'll be better off selling at a yard sell, which would save you from paying Ebay's seller fees.
