First - MAKE SURE ITS UNLOADED

Engage the safety.

Push the slide aprox. half way to the front.

Unscrew and remove the magazine cap.

Grasp the barrel in front of the magazine tube and pull the barrel from the receiver.

Push the shell carrier forward.

Depress the left shell latch by reaching into the chamber through the bottom.

Push the slide forward and off the magazine tube.

Lift the Breach assembly and the slide assembly from the rear of the action bar.

You can remove the trigger assembly by taping out the two retaining pins, simple enough but usually not needed. MAKE SURE YOU leave the safety on if you do so it does not drop the hammer while it's out!

The 870 is very simple (and reliable firearm), doing this shouldn't be a concern.
