I assume you mean subtracting a fraction from another fraction. In this case, you need to multiply both the top and bottom number by another number so both fractions have the same bottom number. Then you can subtract the top numbers and simplify if needed. (ex. 7/8 - 1/2 = ? ...... 7/8 - 1/2(4/4) = ? ...... 7/8 - 4/8 = 3/8) If you can't just multiply one of fractions to get the same bottom number as the other fraction, multiply them both by different numbers until you get the same bottom number. (ex. You could use the same equation as in the first example, but make the bottom number 16 instead, just as an example..... 7/8 - 1/2 = ? ...... 7/8(2/2) - 1/2(8/8) = ? ...... 14/16 - 8/16 = 6/16 ...... Simplify 6/16: 6/16 take 2 out of top and bottom both = 3/8).
You can express it as a fraction of another unit such as a yard or mile etc.

If you take an electron away from an atom that is neutrally charged (has no charge) then because electrons are negatively charged the atom will become positive. For example if you have 5 protons 5 neutrons and 5 electrons then the electrons and protons cancel one another out. (+5-5=0) take away an electron and there are only four electrons and five protons leaving one positively charged molecule making the atom positive. (+5-4=+1)
Stars and galaxies in the universe are moving away from one another in a manner similar to the way in which raisins in a ball of dough are moving away from one another.
It is closer to us than the other stars so we get a much, much larger fraction of its light compared to other stars. The other stars are so far away that even stars that are much brighter than our sun can only transmit such a small fraction of their light that the tiny fraction we get is consequently much less than the larger fraction of our somewhat dimmer sun.
Divide or take part of it away
Another word for take away are: subtract, deduct, debit, withdraw, etc.
confiscate
... take, take away, take off, take out, withdraw. Another example, a slightly better on is: dislimber.
to take away a persons ownership or to take something away from another person for your own use
subtraction means you have to take away from the number
remove or extract
'Take away' in elementary arithmetic is another word for ;subtraction/minus'. e.g. five take away two is three. Symbolically 5 - 2 = 3
A fraction of a whole, or others why known as a decimal number.
Well, if you divide a pizza, you get a fraction of the pizza. This makes fractions easier to understand. or the peices you cut and take away one that is a fraction so an example is i have a pizza its cut into 7 pieces so i take away one i have 6/1
For example, in a fraction like 2.534, there are 3 decimals after the point; in this case, take the point away, and divide by 1000 (a one with 3 zeroes). The result is 2534 / 1000.For example, in a fraction like 2.534, there are 3 decimals after the point; in this case, take the point away, and divide by 1000 (a one with 3 zeroes).
