Once you buy a chibi pet, you need to go to "Change outfit" then next to "My selfy" you have "ChibiPets" you go there and you will see your chibi pet, to make it alive and follow you in town you need to "Add a life stone", you get one life stone automatically once you buy a chibi pets, and then you have to click on your Chibi Pet and press "Select" then you have to "Save changes" and your chibi pet will happily follow you in the town and wherever your selfy goes!
