On a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII, the intake manifold runner control (IMRC) for bank 1 is located on the driver's side of the engine. It is part of the intake manifold assembly and is responsible for managing airflow to the engine's cylinders. You can access it by removing the intake manifold cover and looking for the IMRC linkage and actuator on the left side of the engine. Make sure to disconnect the battery before performing any work in that area.

To replace the IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) actuator on a 1997 Lincoln Mark 8, first, disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the intake manifold cover and any components obstructing access to the actuator. Disconnect the electrical connector and vacuum lines from the actuator, then unbolt it from the manifold. Install the new actuator by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reassembling the intake components and reconnecting the battery.
There was no 1990 Lincoln Mark VI. The final year for production of the Mark VI was 1983.
To remove the exhaust manifold from a Lincoln Mark VIII, start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and removing any components obstructing access, such as the air intake or heat shields. Then, unbolt the exhaust manifold from the cylinder head, ensuring to remove the exhaust pipes connected to it. Carefully lift the manifold off the engine, taking care not to damage any surrounding parts. Finally, replace the gaskets as needed and reverse the process for reinstallation.

Hey William==It is in the valve cover. GoodluckJoe On most cars it is in the valve cover but on the 5.0L Ford, Lincoln, Mercury engines it is actually in the intake manifold back by the firewall. About the only way to get to it is to climb up onto the engine from the passenger side and look and feel down in there. Check out this site for a few pictures. The one on there is a Mark VII 5.0L but the only difference is the direction the intake manifold is facing. http://markvii.homestead.com/pcv.html For all things Lincoln, check out www.lincolnsonline.com and venture into the forums. A wealth of good knowledge there from Lincoln owners all over the world. Literally.

There is only one ABS brake pump motor recommended for the 1990 Lincoln Mark VII. The ABS pump is manufactured by three different companies.
Yes - but you will have to swap the intake manifolds and probably the exhaust manifolds.
