I'm not on house arrest, but I have a GPS monitor on me. I have broken it off and was immediately commanded to go to the Community Justice Services office. I learned that the thing functions by light sensitivity and fiber optic wires. There are holes in the strap, like the holes in a belt, which trigger a tamper alert if light passes through. The fiber optic wires are embedded into the strap and pass through the unit, so a tamper alert happens if the strap is separated from the unit. I heard about someone who supposedly managed to keep the fiber optic circuit during and after removal. Anyone who figures out how to do this is a non-conformist genius, deserving of respect for defying the absurd system. Remember that what comes off must also go back on or the officer in charge of the monitoring is going to create problems...
You don't. Do your time, follow the rules, and don't violate the law. I would suggest you sit down and consider what paths you've followed to get that ankle monitor in the first place.
You will have to stay off of your ankle so that it has a chance to heal. If you use crutches and elevate your foot then it shouldnt take long for you to heal.

What can I do after coming off Workers Comp after spraining my ankle and my boss laid me off as he doesn't have any worker for me, but he is keeping the temp that he hired while I was off injured.
Replacing a computer monitor should take less than 10 minutes. First shut off the computer. Unscrew and unplug the (blue or white) video cable for the monitor from the back of the computer, and unplug the monitor power cable. Then remove the old monitor from the desk, replace with the new monitor, and plug it into the video and power plugs. Start your computer and once it has started, adjust the resolution and refresh rate to match the specifications for your monitor.
