There is a spring type clip and holds the crank onto the shaft. There is a tool you can buy at AutoZone you slip behind the crank where it goes onto the shaft and rotate it until you feel it catch and then push down on the tool to pop the spring off and then the crank will come right off. There are some ways to do it with a flashlight and a thin paper towel and some small needles nose pliers but once you buy the tool, you will see how it works, if not ask one fo the employees. It's a simple spring but getting to it is a pain and it's no use you ruin your door panel digging and gouging it.
