Are you saying that they are too tight to remove? If that is the case, you slide a piece of pipe (whatever is lying about the house/ yard) over your ratchet to get move leverage on it. The longer the handle on the ratchet, the greater the power by far. You may want to spray it with WD-40 first. Pull on that pipe/ratchet firm and steady instead of herky-jerky.
Take old spark plugs out put new spark plugs in
Hey Kelly==They are screwed in the head. Just follow the wires. GoodluckJoe =========== Answer Diskonnect plug from head, turn 4 bolts off, take head off - spark plugs are under head. I myself, 8/29/09
In most extreme case - remove head and bring to a machine shop
easy.........take the old spark plugs out and put the new spark plugs back
6 spark plugs
( 8 spark plugs ) for your V8 engine
You take them out left, counterclockwise. It's an aluminum head and the spark plugs are steel. Because the heat expansion is different for the 2 metals, you need to make sure the engine has cooled down before trying to change the plugs.
on the 3.5 v6 take off the engine cover, unscrew the coilpacks and take out the spark plugs.
Take the old spark plugs out and screw the new ones in
Take it to a trustworthy mechanic. You DON'T want to do this job. I had the spark plug break off in the head. It's about $528 job to have done. But if they snap off in the head its $1200 a head. Good luck!!!
Screwed into the head. Take off the metal cover on the top of the engine (4 bolts)and the plugs are under it there are not attached with wires but boots
The Lincoln LS 3.9 liter V8 engine has ( 8 spark plugs ) It depends on the V8 engine , it could take ( 8 spark plugs ) but there are also V8 engines that have two spark plugs per engine cylinder so they take ( 16 spark plugs ) A little more information please ( make , model , engine size )
