the plastic cover over the head light has a bunch of plastic retaining clips which must be removed by pulling the center up then there is two torx bolts which hold the head light on
I just had to change out the front blinker bulb on my 97 sunfire gt, and as far as I know, there were no huge revisions between the 97 and 98 model year, so here's what you'll need to do. First of all, take out the headlight above the blinker. Your manual should tell you how to do this. Then, simply reach through the hole you've just created to losen the nuts holding the light bulb casing in place, pull it out, and change the bulb. Simple!
what you do is you open the hood and right above the headlight is a black plastic cover held on by little plastic clips. take that off and you'll see two bid bolts connected to the frame of the headlight. take them off, jiggle the headlight alittle, and it should come right out
on the 2.4 its to the left of the starter above the oil filter

In a 2003 Ion Sedan, you...: * Pop the hood * Above each headlight are 2 L shaped pins. Turn, and then pull them directly up to remove them. * Pull the headlight housing straight out. * Turn the bulb housing for the blinker to unlock it and remove the bulb.
You might need to refill your blinker fluid. If that does not work, check above the passengers visor..

There are small holes in the plastic housing just above the headlight with the hood open. You need to use a torx head screw driver. Insert torx head screwdriver and turn either direction for up or down. And the other hole is for left or right adjustments.
If you open the hood, you will see 2 bolts above the headlight assembly. remove the 2 bolts and lift the entire headlight assembly. as you are pulling the aasbly out you will see where the halogen light insert goes in. remove old light, install new, insert back in and reassemble. be careful not to touch glass part of light with hands, may shoten or end life of bulb. going off memory, have not replaced in my 99 sunfire gt in a while. hope this helps. It is located in the front of the engine, above the oil filter, next to the starter. Your going to have to remove the starter for easier access to the sensor.
I just changed the headlights on my 1999 Sunfire. There is a splash guard that goes over the very front of the inside of the car. Holding the guard down are some plugs (they're like wall anchors for hanging pictures in that they expand when they go into the hole to keep everything secure). Just stick a screwdriver under them and pop them out. Pull up the splash guard. You should see two large bolts right above where the headlight is. Remove those bolts, and the headlight assembly should come out. Once you get that part out, all you need to do is pull the old bulb out, carefully put the new one in, and reassemble. I hope my experience was similar enough to help.
The hazard lights flasher is located directly behind the fusebox. The blinker flasher is located toward the center of the dash. You must take off the lower plastic piece right above the pedals, then the smaller piece around the steering column. You will then see the flasher located behind a flat metal piece of the dash frame directly above the gas pedal.

The 2002 Monte Carlo blinker flasher relay switch is located beneath the drivers side dashboard. The blinker flasher relay switch will be above the brake pedal.
I have a 2005 Grad Prix and to remove my headlights I have to unscrew the two (2) bolts holding the headlight bracket its located on both sides of the front end above the headlight when the hood is open. After unscrewing both bolts lift straight up on the brackets and the pull out the headlights toward you.
In my 02 Aztek, I turn the headlight knob (on the dash left of the steering wheel, above your left knee) clockwise to get the interior lights to come on.
Check in the driver's side foot well in the side kick panel. There might be something called The Convenience Center which houses those little guys. If your doesn't have the "center", check inside the steering column housing. You might try turning the flashers or a blinker on and listening to hear where the clicking comes from. Another answer might be that it is directly above the brake pedal mounted to the right of the steering column.
on the passenger side above the wheel
Turn the wheels all the way to the right. Look between the back of the driver side wheel and the fender. You will see the reverse light switch just above the transaxle.
