- Disconnect battery
- Go for coffee, this is to allow the airbag deployment system to discharge.
- There are screws holding the steering wheel air bag to the wheel. Take them out
- Work carefully and disconnect the air bag wiring Do not break the connector.
- Remove the retaining nut on the steering shaft.
- Mark the wheel and shaft so it will be aligned correctly at reassembly.
- Use the special steering wheel puller to remove the wheel
