Taking images with a web cam depends on what interfaces the web cam provides. One simple solution is to open my computer, double click on the web cam and choose "Take new picture" from the menu on the left. You will see the images in the list below, select them all, right click and choose "Save in My Pictures".
You have now the image files in My Documents / My picture folder.
To upload the taken images to facebook you have more options: use the HTML or java interface provided by facebook or third party applications. For more details see the related questions below.
