The standard ford focus has a limiter at 110 mph. The zx4 st model has a claimed limiter of 120mph but speeds up to 125 have been acheived with the limiter in place
take it to ford dealer/service for the ecu to be plugged in and the limit lifted via software. This will cost between £75-£100

There'll be a fuse which should be labeled as going to the engine ECM/ECU.... however, it'll disable the entire vehicle. There isn't a separate mechanism for this - it's programmed into the ECM.

I my experiece (not that I would know *caugh*) you can get past the speed limiter eventually, you just need a longer stretch of road and a steady foot ;)
The speed limiter is set at 112mph for base models and 141mph for the SHO.
