If the nuts won't turn, then i would grind them off with a cutting disc, or just burn them off with a cutting torch.
Oh, dude, removing axles from a mobile home is like taking the wheels off a car, but on a much bigger scale. You'll need to jack up the home, support it safely, and then unbolt the axles from the frame. It's not rocket science, but it's definitely not a walk in the park either.
You have to take the differential cover off and an take clips off the two axles they slide right out
home was paid off in 1996
you can but u have to turn it off
The question is more -"where are you going to take it" . If I was you , I'd advertise it for a minimal cost with the condition people would have to tow it away on purchasing.
To refinance a mobile home, you can start by contacting lenders who specialize in mobile home loans. Provide them with your financial information and the details of your mobile home. If approved, you can then proceed with the refinancing process, which may involve paying off your current loan with the new loan and potentially getting a lower interest rate or better terms.
Math formula? If you have a sliding fifth wheel and sliding tandems, then you move them as needed to get yourself legal... moving trailer tandems forwards takes weight off of the drive axles and transfers it to the trailer axles... moving trailer tandems back takes weight off the trailer axles and transfers it to the drive axles. Sliding a fifth wheel to the rear takes weight off your steer axle and transfers it to the drive axles... sliding a fifth wheel to the front takes weight off of your drive axles and transfers it to the steer axle. If you can't manipulate your weight this way, and be within bridge formula, then you either have it reloaded/have something taken off of the load, or you dodge the scalehouses and hope that you don't run into portable scales.
You've got to pull the axles. take the big nut off the end of the half axles at the hub/steering knuckle. pull the axle out of the hub. Then take a big BIG prybar and pry the axle out of the transmission. Put a short length of broom handle in the transmission after you pry the axles out to keep the side gears from falling down into the case. You DONT want that.
Check with your manufacturer. My (ancient) mobile home has a small metal placard affixed on the outside that says "water intake", which is where it is located (under the home). Newer models have a valve inside the home, but the location varies. Check near the shut off valve for the hot water heater.
go over it in non permanent marker then it rubs right off
take the back off the rear chunk..... it has an 8 mm bolt thru a solid steel bar....remove the bolt and slide the bar out of the chunk......you will have to rotate the axles to get it in position to come out.....once the solid bar is out (it is about 1 inch round) push in on the axles a half moon washer will fall out it is a lock ring holding the axle in. same on both sides reverse process to reassemble .............once you have the tires and brake drums/rotors off it takes about 15 minutes
soak it in water then peal it off.
