Remove the decorative radio retaining plate. Remove the retaining screws. Pull the radio out. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the antenna cable.
To remove the radio from a 1992 Buick LeSabre, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, carefully pry off the trim panel surrounding the radio using a flathead screwdriver or a trim removal tool. Remove the screws securing the radio in place, then gently pull the radio out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the back. Once the connections are removed, the radio can be fully detached.
The 3 sided plastic faceplate just snaps in with spring steel clips that come off with the faceplate. Be prepared to have to hunt for at least one that comes off the faceplate when you pull it off. The radio itself is held in with 2 screws that are obvious after the faceplate is removed.

To replace the radio in the 98 buick you take off the trim and fascia from the dash. This means removing about 4 to 6 screws. After all this there is some wires on the back of the fascia that you need to unhook. These are held in with clips. the radio itself has four screws. Once you take these out the radio should just pull out. I'm going off of my 98 buick lesabre in which i put in a full system.
