first toch the tegu gentley so he will get the trust in you toch him a bit everyday then put on the hard glove grab him gentley and slowly and handle him up to a hour everyday if you want him to like u and trust you well. it will take 4 monthes to make him calm but still dont stop toching him and handling him keep on so he will come even calmer and he will start to know your the boss of him
Iguanas are very easy to tame but you can never give up because they can be very stubborn to tame them you have to hold them very tightly because they are very fast and when you hold them you rub them very softly and that will calm them down
spend time with him, pick him up, hold him for an hour a day. do not handle him when hes hungry, after you've been touching small (delicious-smelling) animals, or for an hour after he eats. also, be careful using your hands to put food into his tank. try leaving the food in there while hes out, or feed him outside of his cage so he doesnt associate handling time with feeding time.
yes but it takes a long time and it takes patientce

A black and white tegu with mouth sores may need to have medication applied until the sores leave. It should be seen by a veterinarian, as it may need antibiotics.
To the best of my knowledge tegu are not illegal in ma. I personaly own a 4 ft. blue tegu and have researched it extensively. I haven't found anything outlawing them. You do however need a class 4 propagators permit for several other reptiles such as: all monitors, retics, anaconda, and a few other snakes. If approved for a permit by Masswildlife, its a 25 dollar fee per year. I suggest you go to MassWildlife web site and search for: 321 CMR 9:00 Exemption List. Tegu make great "pets", but as with any big reptile you better know what you're doing.
Tame is a verb. " I will tame the lion"
