Here are some good tips:

  • Practice! The more you read, the better you will comprehend what you read
  • Work at it. Memorize one new vocabulary word each day, and you'll soon find that you comprehend much more when you read.
  • Think about it. If you don't understand a section you read, try to read each word to see what it means. You can use a dictionary if you need to!
