You can't without disassembling the engine. They will exhibit the same symptoms. And besides it really does not matter. Either way the heads must be removed and inspected and the gasket must be replaced. So it really does not matter which you have as the repair is the same other than if the head is cracked it must be replaced.
You can blow a head gasket or the head can crack or be warped.
You can warp or crack a head or blow a head gasket but I'm not sure how you blow a head. More info please.
depending on how much it overheats.... you can blow a head gasket...warp your heads ... crack your radiator..
if its in the reservoir it should be in the radiator of it is then it has a blow head gasket or a crack head
Let the engine overheat will normally blow the head gasket.
Not directly, but it can crack or blow your head gasket. (Which will cause white smoke) Happened to me =(
It is the head gasket is blown or crack
because one of the head gasket is blow, or crack you have to replace both gasket and compression test the heads
Usually the expansion of the block or different rates between block & heads if composed of different materials makes it blow out when car overheats (most common cause)
Could be an indication of head gasket, leaking May be due to crack / blow-hole in Oil Cooler. Could be an indication of head gasket, leaking
No, head gaskets usually blow because the engine overheated or there was a defect in the gasket or head during production.
Anytime the engine overheats you have the possibility of blowing the head gasket.
