Whitish Puss is not an indication of infection. An infection is characterized by swelling, redness warm to the touch and a discharge of puss* "*greenish and sometimes bloody". Usually a white discharge is "sebum" a combination of fatty oils and cells intended to create a lay over the jewellery in order for the body to form cells on a neutral base which is known to the body. Best advice would be to see your piercer, only your piercer will be able to tell by seeing the piercing if infact it is infected or just doing the normal healing thing.

∙ 12y agoSounds like it is infected! Either check with your doctor or if you don't think its bad enough to warrant the doc then put some peroxide on it! Yellow pus definitely sounds like an infection though!
