Normally you cannot tell the age of your hamster unless you bring it to a vet which can be very costly for a small exzamination. Teddy bear hamsters are sold at around three months old in bought at a pet shop. If it is big and has large genetal organs, it is probably from 6 months to about a year old. If it is smaller and seems very active, it is probably still a baby(between 3 and 6 months). If it big and has grey hair on the nose or face it could be an older hamster(1 to 3 years).

count the amount of hairs it has divide by 32 and then subtract 4
When you buy a hamster, you usually get them when they are under a year old, and they only live for about 2 to 3 years. It depends on how many months you have your hamster.
You may ask the employee at the pet store or if you received it from a friend, most likely your friend will know its current age.
you just tell the hamster how old it is so it will know
if your hamster's leg is longer than a cm, it is usually older than 13 months

Bring your hamster to a licensed vet.
Research about the type of hamster you want! Make a brochure, presentation, Minny book, or just talk to them about it. Tell them why you want a hamster show them you have responsibility by cleaning up your room taking care of other pets (others or yours)! Tell them that the hamster will help you learn about responsibility1 Best of luck to you i did all of this stuff and it worked I got a hamster and now i am trying it again to get a second one!
my hamster is hiding in our air vents. I know because it smells like an old hamster cage. My question is how do I get it out?? Our last hamster died in there and it smelled almost as bad. (ps: if you have a 3 year old, don't get a hamster!) One way to get a hamster out is to look for a ceiling vent in your basement. If you have floor vents in your first floor, then the ceiling vent will be on the same level. Once you find a ceiling vent, find where hammy is hiding. Listen for little footsteps in the air vents. When you think he's near the ceiling vent, stuck hamster tubes up inside of it. Hammy won't be able to resist crawling in his hamster tubes! That's how i got my hamster out of the air vents. - ya u totally copied that from the hamster hideout forum...
