Storage appliances are actually made for storing the data to be used or data to be utilized in future for computer.Also in case of computer storage devices called memory devices does the job of storing various application and programs or for storing system information.

In case of network devices,they are used to interconnect various computer through one of them as server.The sharing of data through all network connected computers can be done with huge transfer rate.
