Some fish species can be differentiated by a number of different characteristics, depending on the species. However, many species of fish are not sexually dimorphic. In other words, most of the time, there is no way to tell externally.

For determining the sex of any mammal you can consider wolf in this category if the wolf at which you are looking has the mammary glands on the ventral side then it is a female wolf and if the wolf do not have means not the matured one then it is a male wolf. The different species of wolf should be saved.

A male dog will have a penis which is usually retracted into a sheath. With puppies, the penis is always retracted. Examine the lower abdomen for a raised ridge, ending in a tuft of fur. This is the sheath of the penis. A dog with testicles is definitely a male, but absence of testicals does not mean the dog is a female. A puppy will not have visible testicles. An adult male may or may not have visible testicles depending on whether he is intact or neutered, and whether or not his testicles decended properly. A female dog will have a vulva. Examine the rear of the dog. The opening nearest the tail is always the anus, from which poop is delivered. Below the anus a slightly elongated opening, or an opening with a slight lip is the vulva. The vulva will be on the back of the dog, not on the abdomen and it will not have a ridge like the sheath on a male.
Immature females have visible nipples on their stomach (for eventually nursing pups) 8 is the normal number, however six or ten is common. Sometimes they can have an odd number like 7 or 9. Males also have nipples but they're less visible for reasons unknown.

You determine gender easily because males have a penis, females don't.

Females urinate squatting down and males raise the dominate leg upward (like being right or left handed). This behavior may not be readily observable until the dog matures (male pups often squat). The behavior serves to relieve himself and mark territory.

A male deer or a "buck" will have antlers. A doe or female normally will not.

The male has a sack between his legs that hold his testicles. He also has a penis. The females have a vagina that look like an opening right below the anus. It look like it has lips on each side.

The easiest way is to gently lift the tail and count the openings. A male will have one opening (the anus) and a female will have two openings (the anus and the vulva).
