should be in the serial #, I can tell just by looking at the engine.
In 1974 Dodge offered two types of transmissions, standard New Process or optional automatic. On either tranny the label will be on the side underneath the vehicle. By writing down the number and other info on tranny, you can go to most parts dealers and they can tell you exactly what it is. It should tell you the model on the ID plate.
