I need a better description of the symptoms. 1. Does the engine crank (turn over) and just not start2. Does the engine not crank. Please describe exactly what is happening and I'll try to help.VBD
Adjust your carb, otherwise, it's a problem with gas getting to the carb while accelerating.
The cheapest way to find out what is wrong with your car is to check the little things before you start spending money. Check for bad fuses, check your battery if it's dead, check if you have enough oil in your car or even enough gas in your car to start it up, definitely check the spark plugs if their bad since you have a older car, air filter. if your car has nothing wrong with those minor problems then your going to have to go to your nearest auto store and ask them what can go wrong in a Chevy Caprice classic.
If I can remember it correctly, there were 4418 81 Chevy Caprice 2 door Landeau Edition...if I'm wrong please correct me here...
Check the alternator if that don't do it change the battery
voltage regulator
check your e brake
well, the problem is that the battery is worn, i might be wrong, ut see if getting a new battery for it will fix the problem. oh and only charge it when the battery is empty, then it will last longer.
Sounds like a battery problem. Check the battery. Clean and tighten the battery terminals and cable ends.
I have a 93 Caprice and the cruise went out a few times. Check the third brake light in the back of the window. If it is out replace it and this might fix the problem. Also check the fuse as it controls the cruise and third brake light as well.
