Loose, defective, or corroded cables, loose ground wire, starter, or starter solenoid.
You would appear to have a serious problem fueled by those strange little creatures from electronic world. Hope this helps to solve your little problem!!! Yours, John Garrett
I need a better description of the symptoms. 1. Does the engine crank (turn over) and just not start2. Does the engine not crank. Please describe exactly what is happening and I'll try to help.VBD
Adjust your carb, otherwise, it's a problem with gas getting to the carb while accelerating.
If I can remember it correctly, there were 4418 81 Chevy Caprice 2 door Landeau Edition...if I'm wrong please correct me here...
The cheapest way to find out what is wrong with your car is to check the little things before you start spending money. Check for bad fuses, check your battery if it's dead, check if you have enough oil in your car or even enough gas in your car to start it up, definitely check the spark plugs if their bad since you have a older car, air filter. if your car has nothing wrong with those minor problems then your going to have to go to your nearest auto store and ask them what can go wrong in a Chevy Caprice classic.
Check the alternator if that don't do it change the battery
check your e brake
well, the problem is that the battery is worn, i might be wrong, ut see if getting a new battery for it will fix the problem. oh and only charge it when the battery is empty, then it will last longer.
Sounds like a battery problem. Check the battery. Clean and tighten the battery terminals and cable ends.
Maybe you have a problem with your car's battery. If your battery's dead, your interior lights and radio wont turn on. So if you wait for a while and your radio wont turn on, then probably the problem is with the battery. If it is, than you should check the your battery fluid. If its not the battery, maybe there is something wrong with your starter motor.
I have a 93 Caprice and the cruise went out a few times. Check the third brake light in the back of the window. If it is out replace it and this might fix the problem. Also check the fuse as it controls the cruise and third brake light as well.
battery or corroded connection on battery One click most likely is a bad starter motor or solenoid. Many clicks battery or connection problem.
Two MOST probable in the order I'd be checking....Low battery charge or defective battery....Loose or corroded battery cable connections. Secondly, you possibly have a defective starter or starter solenoid. Good Luck! Dub
Had the same problem. Bought a re-conditioned alternator, turned out it was bad. Usually if battery draining, it's alternator or battery or both.
it's either your wiring or the wrong alternator or a bad battery !!
"The only time the charge battery light goes off is when you press the gas" is the classic symptom of a loose or very well worn belt.
If it does that. Check your alternator. If you have no problem there. Check your battery charge. I'd check the battery charge first. If thats cool. I'd check the sensor. Cause it's telling you somethings wrong with your battery system. Good Luck.
Possible battery, starter or connection problem.
The problem most likely is the fuse to that circuit, the battery, the aternator, or the wiring. Have each checked.
The light comes on when there is a problem with the charging system. Normally this means the alternator is defective.
Yes, it can ruin a battery and it can explode.
i put ad battery cable on wrong and it blow sum of da fuses were can i slove this problem
I had this same problem with my !995 Galant. It turned out to be the alternator.
