My first book was published in 1995 - it was a drama text book. However, I wrote stories at highschool, wrote badly in my diaries and wrote mediocre poems at university. My first novel (If I Could Tell You) was published by Harper Collins New Zealand in 1997. To date, I have had 22 books published and my 23rd (Banquo's Son) will be published in Sept 2009 by Penguin New Zealand. I have also written two other novels which are yet to find publishing homes.
